Voigtlander “zoomar” 36-82mm T3.1
Released in 1959, this lens was well ahead of its time. It features a single-layer coating that produces low-contrast images and beautiful flares, yet it maintains surprisingly low chromatic aberration and minimal focus breathing.
Rehoused by GL Optics, the lens now features a 136mm front and a close focus improved from 4’6” to 2’9”. It also includes a matte-finished 15-blade iris for perfectly circular bokeh when stopped down. While most zoom lenses small enough for handheld operation lack character, the Zoomar delivers exceptional personality and beauty without compromise.
