The Alexa 35 houses Arri’s newly designed 4.6k S35 CMOS sensor that delivers 17 stops of dynamic range. It packs all of the features of a larger Arri body down into a small profile, similar to the Alexa Mini LF. ARRI’s new REVEL Color Science produces much truer colors and more film like highlights than previous cameras. ARRI textures allow you to really dial in your look in a way that can be thought about like choosing a film stock. The new top ISO of 6400 gives this camera incredible low light capabilities. On top of all that, it’s also capable of shooting 120fps in 4K.

The Alexa 35 requires a 24V power input. Our battery of choice for this camera ended up being Bebob 290WH dual voltage B-Mount batteries. Having a dual voltage battery allows you to power camera and accessories off of the same batteries. We also offer the Bebob 90WH hot swap battery, which allows you to swap batteries without powering camera down. B-Mount batteries lock into the plate a bit more secure than Gold Mount, which goes a long way on days where the camera is being operated handheld.

Considering that this camera does require a bit more power than cameras you might be used to, we high recommend adding block batteries to your order when renting Alexa 35.
